Last night I had gone to be very early because I have been ill for a couple of days. My WH works the night shift. When he came to bed, he reached over to me and pulled the covers over my shoulders. He has never done anything like that for me. I found it to be very sweet and encouraging.
This morning, I emailed my brother and SIL what he had done. My brother's response was, "He was probably trying to smother you and had second thoughts that he couldn't get away with it." Aaargh! So much for the warm fuzzys

Nice.

I try and do those little things more often. Especially those that I may have overlooked for my wife.

It sounds like maybe your H is coming to a good place.

It gives me hope.

Congratulations.

PS - Hope you're feeling better.

I love that...I think he has learned to take care of and appreciate what he almost lost. Mine too has done little things that make all the difference. ..things he's never done before like ask me if I want a cup of coffee in the morning...I hope its permanent and not temporary because it feels so good when they do it...happy for you

in R 4 years and it's working but he is putting 200% into it (as he should) to make it right again.

The truth hurts, but I have never seen it cause the pain that lies do.
