I feel as if my WW has seen the light or come out of the fog! The other night for the first time since the A I felt she had grasped the severity of the situation and how she has hurt me. Donít get me wrong I think there was regret from the start and she has said she was sorry and that she canít believe she did it. But the apologize always seemed tainted with a feel of hiding something or saying it for self-protection. Each time she would say she didnít want to tell the truth because she didnít want to hurt me anymore, I truly believed that it was because she didnít want to be hurt or face the truth herself.
But the other night she broke down and cried and talked and held me like she never wanted to let go! She was sincere and vulnerable for the first time since the A. I could see it in her eyes and hear it in her voice. This has made a huge difference in how I feel towards her and has helped me on my way to forgiveness. This does not mean Iím not still on a rollercoaster of emotions and I know we will have good days and bad days, but this has been a huge step on a still long road to recovery!

Good news Nick! I love the flip side of Gut instincts. You can have a positive Gut instinct as well. Glad for ya, and Glad that you are cautiously optimistic.
