Bartenders, Moms, Teachers etc....

I am watching these people run around for hours on end and is it endurance?

I recently realized we are given x amount of energy to invest- how do these people have anything left?

I wonder at times if I am up for the world. I am constantly going but these people balancing orders, ensuring values are taught, managing little minds- it truly amazes me.

I hope to be that strong but seriously how does one do it?

I think mostly that any amount of success balances upon believing that you can do it, and focusing on the positives.

I was having a conversation with someone who remarked how they absolutely couldn't have my patience doing daycare and running my household and having kids here all the time etc. At the same time I was thinking "Geez, I have it easy, you have to leave the house for work and then come home and do it all."

The thing is the person I was talking to is really social and she LOVES getting out of the house and being with her peers and getting away from mom duties. I on the other hand prefer being based from home, and feel lucky to do so, and remember that when there are 5 kids here being so loud that they are about to break the sound barrier.

I don't think anyone has a job that won't sometimes make them crazy. It just all balances out when there is enough positive to outweigh the negative.

Teacher here - I LOVE WHAT I DO! I teach kindergarten. I am asked daily - how the h--- do you do it?!? Well, I love it. I love the kids. I love the adventure. I have the mixed benefit of being a late entry teacher. I was in the business world first. I did the rat race. Cutthroat. Travel every month/week. Hated being away from my family. Was a SAHM for 7 or 8 years, and when the kids got older, took a non-traditional route to a teaching certificate. I have taught K for 8 years, and love love love it. The kids are rowdy and energetic. They are amazing people that grow and make these discoveries that are so exciting - and I am a part of it. This is what gives me the energy to do it. Am I exhausted? a little. But I still have enough to come home and take care of my family, running around chasing them in cross country, track, basketball, football, etc. And I have a mild social life. lol
