When people know you are going through a difficult time and you mention it in passing and they don't remark what does that mean?

They are uncomfortable, not interested, don't care, or just missed what you said?

I notice this a lot more with people I know post divorce. Have I changed and never mentioned things or are people just limited in their support?

Thanks!

I think in general people just don't want to get involved!!! Only people who generally get involved are those close to the situation...

Any of the above? Most of the time, I think people just don't know what to say, or they fear saying the wrong thing, so they say nothing.

I also think people want to respect your privacy and boundaries.

It can be offensive when people stick their nose and ask when it's not their business.

I always try to send light and positive mojo when I see someone going through a hard time, but rarely ask them about it.

If they want to talk to me, I'm happy to be supportive, but feel weird prying.
