and I'm still no snitch.

Aubrie looked at me with a raised eyebrow, and I pointed right at the offender. I was not taking the rap.

When I grow up, I want to dance as well as Moo does. I'm not talking about competition - just admiration.

Thanks Sisoon. I am so glad that you and plainsong came with me to that dance event. I doubt I would have gone there alone. You and plainsong were wonderful host and hostess this weekend.

Ascendent and Mrs., It was great to meet you and chat with you before dinner at the bar. Next time I go ride the coasters I'll be sure to let you know.

NIK and Jrazz, It was good to catch up with my fellow guides a bit this weekend

Aubrie and QuietStand, it was good to see you and see QS starting to get chatty. And Go CATS!!!!

Knight and KnightBFF thanks for coming all the way up to join the g2g. It was cool to talk some about baseball stadiums, Knight. I hope that you can make a big tour of them too. I also want to thank knightsbff for proving that not only does yesterday's weather in Iowa become today's weather in Chicago but the same is true for pitchers for the cubs.

Gemini71, I feel so stupid. I missed the chance to talk to you on Friday and we even sat next to each other as we were involved in 2 different discussions. Hopefully in the future I'll get another chance. *hangs head in shame*

Tesla and thebighurt, It was nice to meet you and I enjoyed chatting with you on the way back from saturday nights events.

Better4me, it was great to see you again. You know we needed a pinata at this g2g, right?

Mo3k and Do3k, yay you made it to another g2g!!!!!!!!! It was good to see the two of you again after several years. Thanks for hanging with me at dinner on Saturday night. Next time I need to catch up on all the kiddos.

DixieD, I expected more of a southern twang this visit. Keep working on it. It was fun to enjoy dinner conversation with you and your H. I can't wait to see all the photos that you take on your trip.

I totally trust you, Ascendant. We can clearly get you to crack and spill the truth with a facial expression. Very handy.

"Scowling with the local 5-0 a la Jpapa"

You did not pay to use the patened images and I would hardly say the Jrazz is scowling. The Empress does have the proper "zero visible emotion" thing down but I have a feeling she is smiling beneath those shades.

Pssh - pretty sure satire/parody is protected use, Sir.

ps - Chicago peeps? I'm sorry for the weather we're sending you. I don't want to give away the ending with spoilers, but suffice it to say, my basement is flooded. Yay.

Oh, the waiter.

Me: I'll have the steak shishkebabob.
Him: *mumble* -- and moves on.

I resigned myself to getting the steak how the cook wanted me to have it and apparently the cook was also going to decide whether I got potatoes, veggies, or rice.....and I was *good* with that. (even though I had spent 10 minutes trying to figure out what a braised potato was -- research time wasted.)

And then the whole *the ticket belongs to the restaurant* thing. Fine dude. Make me a copy -- see, I needed the ticket to prove that I was only paying for ME (yet another inside joke). Then he brings me a copy of the wrong ticket.
But, damn -- that steak was really, really good!

I thought it was fun to sit with Tesla and wonder what form her Pinot Grigio was going take... water? Coffee? Dagger?

My tilapia was delicious, by the way.

Who knew "I'd like a pinot grigio" is Greek for "you are stupid."

I enjoyed watching thebighurt enjoy her "bonus" potatoes, even though she never got her cabernet.

From now on whenever anyone says anything stupid to me, my response will be "I'd like a pinot grigio." I'll die laughing inside and that stupid person will be totally clueless.

It must have been the strange Midwestern accent I put on "pinot grigio"...I'm sure it sounded just like "You are stupid" in greek.

Oh and Razzie. Remember that *gaspy* look I got on my face when you told me where you worked? I checked and I was right -- you were visited......

It's our last night in Chicago. We have decided this is our new favorite US city, so...we'll be back.

Picture will be posted when I can get my photobucket to act right again.
