My H watched the film, The Descendants last weekend. I caught part of the scene in which George Clooney says good-bye to his wife after she dies. I found the script online and here is what he said:

He walks to the bed, takes her hand, rubs his palm over her hair. He says something to her as though silently praying, then realizes he should say it aloud.
He presses his lips to hers and puts his hand on her stomach.

"Goodbye, Elizabeth. Goodbye, my love,
my friend, my pain, my joy. Goodbye.
Goodbye. Goodbye."

I think my H would say to me some of the same words as I lay dying:
"Good-bye my pain, my love...."

...and what would I say to him if he had one hour left on this earth? I have thought, visualized this so many times in the last five years, that one of us will die prematurely (we're almost 63 and 67).
...and I believe that he would hold me in his arms and we would cry together. I know he loves me; he knows I love him, and we would express our feelings through words, gestures, and touch.

LOL some of these are so funny! A colonoscopy? WOW!! Or beating the life out of the skank!! Sadly, I too would entertain that idea!!

If it were just me, I would definitely tell him how much I love him. How I forgive him, and that he needs to forgive himself. That he needs to learn from us and build something new with someone else. Someone similar to me and as far as possible from the AP. He deserves a good woman, and my children deserve a good step mother.

If it were the end of the world situation I would grab him and our kids and we would go to the beach! I would say cedar point but im sure the workers will be running for their lives as well so.... lol!!!

AWW...(((lookingforward))) that is so sweet! I saw that movie and yes it was sad!! I dont remember the last thing he said either but I remember it being such a deep movie.

He has already wasted too much of my time, I'd spend it with my kids.

I wouldn't waste time with words. I hope we would spend our last hour together making each other happy and connecting in the most intimate of ways.

I don't know what I'd say; I'm not so good at expressing myself anymore. I'd just want to lay there in his arms and watch a sunrise or a sunset and know that I did whatever I was put on this earth to do. The PAs wouldn't even cross my mind I don't think. I wouldn't want my last minutes weighted down by them.

I think I'd have to recite one of my very favorite poems to her.

Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
Go fuck yourself.

Seriously, I would not include her in my last hour.

Actions speak louder than words. Hmmm only one hour. In one hour the police couldn't possibly put me in jail before I passed. Methinks they might both be going at the same time, or rather right before me.
But first I'd call my family and say my goodbyes to my loved ones.

I don't need further confirmation of what a fuckwit he is. I already have plenty, thanks very much. -SBB

I'd spend it all with our son. He would be welcome to join us. I'd hope he would.

First I must change the scenario to my WH having only an hour left on this earth because I refuse to die before him.

During his last hour I have thought about saying these words:

"Yes, you worked very hard to become a better person. You expressed remorse for all that you did. You were accountable for your shitty decisions and you owned it but in the end you still cheated thus you are a cheater. Your selfish actions crushed my soul, broke my heart, and changed me forever. Your shitty actions hurt the two people I care for the most, my DSs. That is what gives me the strength to stand before you and not shed a tear, not one. You see, when a cheater dies, no one really cares"

In reality would I say that, probably not but I will shed far fewer tears. That I know for certain.

ME: 54 BS
HIM: 61 WH
Married: 28 years
D'Day: 10/29/10
in R 3.5 years and it's working but he is putting 200% into it (as he should) to make it right again.

The truth hurts, but I have never seen it cause the pain that lies do.

I love my husband, but my daughter would get every single minute of my last hour.

I have been cheated on by 3 different men, and I have more DDays than anyone ever should. I am here, just trying to pickup the pieces.

At least the current man "only" cyber-cheated.
