So I may be giving away my location here... this is something that has been in the news in my area recently.

The hotel that my WH and his OW liked to visit was recently shut down for being a meth-lab. I don't know why but I'm really seeing some parallels here... the state of their relationship as compared to the place they chose to conduct their illicit meetings - ugh gross

I almost feel bad for the OW - like really sweetheart? that's the best you could get him to do for you? a meth-lab? Now you know exactly what you were worth to him...haha

I don't know why I find this so funny - it's been a really long week and I might be coming a little bit unhinged today

It is normal when dealing with trauma to have 'inappropriate' humor.

I too would likely find seeing their rendezvous point a sleazy cesspool fricken hilarious as a testament to the reality of what they 'shared'.

My dumbass H was going to some tenement in NYC to be with donkey. He was so honorable, that he was paying the rent (it is rent stabilized; low income).

I can't imagine him stepping over crack vials to walk up 4 urine smelling flights to be met by donkey. That must have been some good monkey sex and ego kibbles.

On the flip side, FWH and I were poor, really poor when we first were married. Our honeymoon consisted of a one night stay in the Bridal Suite in a mom and pop hotel in the hick town one hick town over and one level up from hickness than us. (They had a KFC!) We had moved away about 5 years after being married and have lived all over the USA.

We have now moved back to the state where our honeymoon hotel is. It was torn down about 10 or so years ago due to becoming a meth lab and crackhead hangout. I didn't know this at the time, but it was whilst my FWH was conducting his affair. Was it a sign?
