I could really use some help with this. Does anyone know how to work the gmail calendar? I imported my son's little league game schedule and it pulled in other information that wasn't on the schedule. When I tried to delete it (the other appointments), it won't let me.

When I go into my gmail account and pull up the calendar it's gone (I was able to delete it), but when I go into my calendar on my phone and click on the gmail calendar to display it on my phone calendar it still pulls everything in? How can that be if I deleted, or supposedly deleted it on my gmail account?

So where is this calendar and how can I permanently delete it?

What version of android are you running?

For the info that shows as deleted on the computer but still shows up on the phone, try restarting your phone. Does it still show?

Top right corner do you see three little dots? That button opens a menu. Look for Calendars to Display, or Settings if that's not an option, and find something like Calendars to Display under Settings.

Are you displaying additional calendars you didn't want to?

What version of android are you running?

I'm running version 4.2.2

Yes, it still shows. I shut down my phone every night.

Top right corner do you see three little dots? That button opens a menu. Look for Calendars to Display, or Settings if that's not an option, and find something like Calendars to Display under Settings.

This is a setting I never touched prior to importing my son's baseball schedule. The events that were in my phone's calendar where all entered there by me. I imported the calendar this time because I didn't want to sit and type in each game.

Are you displaying additional calendars you didn't want to?

I never displayed any calendar. The information that I could see were the events that I manually typed in.

What I had to do to see the schedule to begin with is this - Tap calendar > tap the button next to my home button > tap calendars > tap display. Then it gives me an option to check "ALL Events" "Contacts' Birthdays and events" "Holidays in the US" and "myemail@gmail.com"

When I select All Events and myemail@gmail.com it pulls in the schedule that is supposed to be deleted from the computer. If I select just All Events it still pulls the schedule in. How can I delete this? To my way of thinking if it's deleted from my gmail on the computer my phone shouldn't be able to pull it in.

I spoke with the coach last night and he said there is a button on the game site where I can select either "all information" or "game schedule." If I try this again selecting the game schedule will I have duplicate entries because I can't delete the schedule from the first try?

When I tap the button next to the home button it brings up a list of options. When I tap delete it pulls up another list. That list is everything that I manually entered into my calendar, not the game schedule.

I hope I've explained it well enough.

This is not making any sense to me.

Are these calendars you've got set up, associated with your account?

How about checking in your main phone settings, under Accounts, do you see your google account there? Click it and it'll show you what is syncing from your google account (i.e. your computer) and when it last synced. If you don't have your calendar set to sync, it wouldn't update from the changes you'd made. Make sure that your phone is also set to sync automatically (if you don't know how to do this let me know and I'll walk you through it). You can also click those three dots to open a menu and select "Sync now" if it's not showing recent syncing.

In Google Calendars on your computer, do you see the left hand menu that has little drop downs for "My Calendars" and "Other Calendars"? Do you see the sports calendars there? If they are linked to your account, even if you have them unchecked on the computer, selecting "all info" on your phone might still show them.

These calendars are what is automatically listed on my phone. The calendar app is the one that came with the phone (on the home screen it's the green and white calendar with the number 31 on it).

When I go into settings > google > it shows my gmail account and says last synced on 4/25/14 at 1:35 pm.

In Google Calendars on your computer, do you see the left hand menu that has little drop downs for "My Calendars" and "Other Calendars"?

Under My Calendars it lists my calendar named "Shortened first name, Last initial" then below that it says Tasks. When I click on the drop down it says Create New Calendar and Settings.

Below that there's another section that says Other Calendars. There is nothing list below that. When I click on the drop down it says Add a friend's calendar, Browse interesting calendars, Add by URL, Import Calendar, and Settings.

I can't find the sports calendar. When I imported the calendar it did list a URL, but now I don't see it. Is there a way to search for the URL?

Thank you for taking the time to help. I'm better with yahoo, hotmail, and outlook. I never use gmail so I'm not familiar with it.

Is the other calendars in gmail open? There's a little triangle you can click that points sideways when it's closed and down when it's open. I would imagine the sports calendar should show up there. If it's not there, I'm at a loss.

Sorry
Not sure how much other help I can be remotely, if you've already told your phone to stop syncing all data and the calendar in question doesn't show up on your google account.

Thanks for the links. I checked them out and there's not much in there for my situation. I just don't understand how my phone can sync a calendar that's been deleted (or supposedly deleted) from my computer and why I can't delete the unwanted entries. I don't want to import it again and possibly duplicate the mess.

Thanks for all your help. It's grealy appreciated.
