The more I read and the more I see and the older I get I just wonder if humanity is more evil than good. Read what the people who took vows to love honor and obey do to one another?

Do you think there are whole world full of good people and just a few bad apples or the other way around?

I know far too many amazingly kind, caring, and wonderful people to lose faith in humanity. I believe the world is filled with all kinds, and although there are truly awful people, they are far outnumbered by everyone else.

I think we are all born with the ability to be good or evil or a combination of both. It's choice that pushes you one way more than the other. That's my two cents. Interesting question - thank you!!

I am (unfortunately) a tad more bitter; however, there are a few people who have restored my faith in humanity. A simple act of taking time out from their busy day to send a message or to lend an ear or helping hand is the greatest thing I've seen in a long time.

I do feel there are more good, kindhearted people in the world. I just tend to be more guarded until I come across them, kwim?

I hope some of my ramblings helped.

Had you asked me 5 years ago, I'd have been on the "more bad than good" bus, but now I really believe that most of us are good genuine folks weathering everyday life as best we can--sometimes with grace and sometimes with something less, but overall good people.

I have chosen to surround myself with people that make the world a better place.

While there are a lot of terrible people out there....they do not have central roles in the life of Williesmom.

I feel that the vast majority are good. What I believe happens is that the *bad* events are just more publicized now.

You have a huge point here. I am really glad to know that you all view humanity as more good than evil...I was slipping into the other category..but you guys are right. There really ARE good people in this world. The ones that are bad are SO bad they are off the charts be it on the new or the JFO and Divorce forums here.

I want to surround MYSELF, too with only good people Williesmom but I need to restore the intense fear I have of being used, abused and thrown away or being treated like I am too old to be considered viable and useful anymore. I just feel my chance past me by and there aren't enough good people around me to make me feel relevant.
