We would love to host dinner at our place on that Friday night for anyone that's interested. And hey, if we go with one of the later weekends we will even have our Halloween decorations up by then. We kind of go stupid crazy for Halloween decorating.

Keep us informed - it's hard for both of us to travel during the school year. Still have a two year mortgage left on the kid . But we'd love to be there!

I have heard such great things about the Texas State Fair! (And I guess there's some group of people who go there every year to meet up, and they seem ok 
).
I have some other personal trips to figure out for this year so there may be no room in the budget, but I'll track this and see. Definitely next year anyway!

Hmmmmm....... Have to look at bumping up the travel budget somehow. It's already stretching. Don't want it to have a blowout but this sounds like fun!

Think that 10/18-10/19 weekend has the least likelihood of meltage, but it's still Texas. Put me as a maybe, but I hope to make that a for-sure soon enough.

the State Fair is in the Dallas area. I think we stayed in one of the suburbs last time, though.

I imagine by G2G time I'll stop squeeing. 
And you know we wouldn't miss a Texas g2g, even it's in hotter than hell September. But my vote is for October, on the chance it will be cooler.
