I got wind of this book from a hither & gone post on this site. A couple of days later I remembered the title and looked it up on Amazon.

Save one, there are 44/45 Five Star Reviews and everyone seems to really stand behind the book. While I still think "Not Just Friends" remains the explanatory bible, this appears to be an updated book about how our technology now speeds affairs along, she covers the phases from discovery (or how to discover) to recovery & reconciliation. Also, she addresses both sides, the betrayed & betrayer.

What I'm curious about for anyone who has read it, she makes mention as an example: "The brain chemicals released from merely exchanging online flirtations can be as addictive as drugs, and can very quickly lead to an affair."

Can anyone tell me how much detail she goes into this, such as citing studies, a number of pages or just a paragraph of lipservice or ??? There is no doubt in my mind she is "right on" My husband & I were on the internet before the general public & I've seen the damage just regular internet addiction & then gaming addiction has done to the general public and it only continues to get worse.

I'm definitely going to buy the book, but I'm kind of excited seeing this train of thought finally hit more mainstream, and just thought I'd ask in advance. Speaking of which, thanks in advance to anyone who responds!

FWIW, because of brain damage, I write in storyteller form, so hardly any short posts from me & bad eyesight gives me a 50% edit rate..Apologies in advance!

Me 39, EX H 40 married 17 years infidelity on both parts . He a serial cheater. I cheated for revenge and ran home to brag. Or make Him mad. He confessed to more affairs after that. We are now divorced living apart . 3 children
