In getting ready for pretrial conference, part of my homework is to compile a list of witnesses.

I'm writing to see if I can find out, has anyone ever put an OW in this category?

Since she is the one who happily blurted to me what they were doing, I thought I might list her name and info on the list.

And I thought I'd list the IL's.

It is amazing to think, how many, many people knew.

Thankfully, I am largely over it now and triggers go by quick.

Oh...and the house closed, it's gone but we are ok and moving on. The comfort is that OW did not get it, nor half the belongings in it .

It depends on why you would include anyone on the list. Are you in a fault state where you have to prove the A, or does OW know something about assets or money that your sbtxwh was using and/or hiding?

If neither of these issues relate to the potential litigation, I don't know why she would be included. I think a lot of people have included the OW on a witness list if these issues do relate to what she knows. I would love to see the look on their faces when they get a court order to come testify. They all think they are sooooo big and bad hanging around behind their computer key boards and spewing all sorts of mindless crap on FB. I'm sure they all shart in their panties a little bit before they have to raise their right hands and swear to tell the truth. You know, that little concept they usually know nothing about. ...

If I had had the opportunity, I would have called everyone and anyone to the stand. OW, her family, her friends, their co-workers, IL's. Everyone.

Maybe if there were more consequences for infidelity, less people would do it. Right now as it stands, it's a free-for-all.

Marriages that start this way, stepping over the bodies of loved ones as the giddy couple walks down the aisle, are not likely to last.

Put anyone on the witness list that you DON'T want in the courtroom! If you don't want to watch OW sit there and smirk at you, put her down as a witness. Exclude her from being in the same room as you.

Imagine a ship trying to set sail while towing an anchor. Cutting free is not a gift to the anchor. You must release that burden, not because the anchor is worthy, but because the ship is.
