And I have no idea what to expect. I don't have a lawyer, I just filed the paperwork and self-served. The appointment tomorrow is with a magistrate, I guess. Does anyone know what I should expect then? Do I need to be prepared to outline what I'm asking for (child support, custody, etc)?

Call the Clerk of the Court and ask "what matters are before the Court tomorrow." Also ask if the Court expects any paperwork or forms to be presented at the time of appearance.

The Clerk is not allowed to give you legal advice, but they are allowed and encouraged to make sure the parties are informed of what is being heard at hearings and what the Court expects of the parties.

Most family courts are set up to accommodate pro se (parties without legal reps). That means they have forms and lists of items needed to be dealt with in order to have the case progress through to completion. Take advantage of all the resources available for pro se litigants.

The paperwork says its a "case management conference" but I'm not sure what that means. I've completed all of my paperwork so far, wh has not. He left it for me to do and I started it, but then stopped...not my job!

The conference probably is scheduled to inform you of the timing and requirements to move the case forward efficiently and expeditiously. This conference should be good for you. It will likely answer most of your procedural questions. Make sure you leave the conference/courtroom with all the case tracking outlines and forms available.
