I do childcare. Convo the other day:

4yo: Sam (6yo cousin) has a boyfriend
Me: Really. What does that mean?
4yo: You know, Love.
7 yo brother chimes in: And that means she's gotta cook the sausage!

Let me guess. They're Italian... At least he didn't say 'hide the sausage'

A friend related the following conversation with her 6-year old DS at the school bus stop

Friend Come here so I can hug and kiss you.

DS Nooooooo! I don't want everyone on the bus to see me in love!

I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.

Ha ha ha ha.

My 4-year old GD was driving with her parents to my country house 3 hours away. After about 2 hours of driving, she finally piped up and said, "We've been driving forever. Where are we going? California?'

Aww those are brilliant!

The other day I was asking my five year old some deep and meaningful questions (because I knew the answers would be funny!)

Me - What does love mean?
Him - Love is when you like some a lot and then a lot more, for all of the days!

Me - What are you favourite things?
Him - Ummm, transformers and puddles!

Me - What do you want to be when you're grown up?
Him - Optimus Prime!!! But I think that would be quite hard so if I can't be him I want to drive a racing car.

Me - 27
Him - 27

My Ddays - 01/10 & 12/04/14
His Dday - 23/12/13

Chin up. Unwavering. Fight. I can do this.

Slightly different story line, but it made my day...

As a part of my job I deliver fliers for events to schools. While at a Pre-K, this past week...on my way into the school:

Boy 1: WOW! Look at her car! It has people on it!!! It's so cool!!!
A few moments of giggles and silence...
Boy 2: And she has pink hair! She's SO COOL!!!!

At this point I am about to start laughing and had to pick up pace so they couldn't see/hear me. As I was leaving, they all giggled and smiled at me as I told them all, "Goodbye," and, "Have a good day!" For the record, my hair is a burgundy color, not pink, but it still made my day

My 2 year old son is a riot these days.

Him - walks up and licks me
Me- oh gross! Don't lick me.
Him - I give you doggie kisses.

The other day, he walked up while I was cooking and bit me square on the butt.
Me - ow son. It hurts when you bite. Are you supposed to bite people?
Him - yeah. I'm a dinosaur!

Him - (calling from the bathroom) mom! Wipe me. I poop big like daddy!

Him - (licks his aunt at a BBQ) mmmmmm
Me - does aunty taste good?
Him - yeah. Like chicken.

SurprisinglyOkay - it's great they're both so focused! Haha!

Musiclovingmom - your son sounds adorable! I love the dinosaur story.

My youngest is similar with the licking. He's two as well but he doesn't lick people. A few family members have dogs, when he sees them the dogs lick his face... so he licks them back! Not exactly sanitary but very cute.

DD4: Mama, I want Jem and Misfits dolls.

Me: Baby, I'm sorry - they don't make those dolls anymore.

DD4: But you could make them, mama. You can do ANYTHING!

Now I'm scared... when she plays with them they are looking for someone to beat up. #momfail
