Okay, so I took everyone's advice and joined a group that meets for various outings. We met at a bar with live music, and I was having a glass of wine with one of the other women. She started talking to an attractive man standing near to us, so I moved over so he could be next to her. They talked awhile and then the band played a set. The guy said something in my ear (which I couldn't hear because of the music), and Held up both of his hands. I think he was letting me know that he wasn't the one touching me, when someone brushed past me. He did this about 3 or 4 times. I just smiled. After a while he left, and the other woman said that he was so interested in me, but I gave him no encouragement. I really was oblivious, and I thought that he was talking with her. I am clueless about men, but I did understand the two women that hit on me that night, but I am not into women. How do you know if someone is interested, if you can't even talk to them?

Do you mean that you can't talk to him because the music is so loud or because you're nervous?

I am an outgoing, friendly person in general. When I go out, I smile and talk to everyone. If it's in a super loud place, that's when you get up close to someone's ear to say something, or gesture like "I can't hear you!" Smiling is huge. Did you want to go on a date with this guy, or are you still healing and prefer to stay single?

No, I would have liked a date with this guy, I was just too clueless to know he was interested, and I guess he just gave up. I think my date radar needs a tune up.
