I'm really mad at myself for this. I'm a landscaper so I need to be in top physical shape to work.

I was trying to pick up this tote that weighs around 200lbs over my head. Halfway up the tote buckled because, duh its a plastic tote! Why do you have so much weight in a plastic tote! So I try to catch it and had to bend over to catch it. That took the weight off my legs and right into my lower back.

The stupidest thing is that I caught it, felt my back pull, and then continued to hold it bent over. I was trying to figure out how to get a better grip so I could pick it up again. I ended up dropping it and going inside for a few minutes.

I have a few light days as far as physical activity is concerned but a "light day" for me is like a big weekend of projects for most people.

I'm walking all gingerly. I'm taking Ibuprofen and using absorbine jr so I smell and look like an old person.

Ouch! Rest up and take care of yourself. I hope you are back to 100% quickly.

Ow, I feel for you! My back goes out regularly after I do hard physical work, so I know it's no fun. I prescribe lots of A5-35 and a bit of rest.

I'm slowly learning to heed the "danger pull" feeling. I don't always, and I pay for it.

I hope you feel better soon and can get back to smelling like... normal?

I wish you the best. Coming out of an L4-L5 episode myself, but I'm basically retired.

I did some light physical work today and I'm feeling a lot better. I tend to heal VERY quickly which is nice.

I'm going to continue to take meds and smell funny though.

Ouch! Be good to yourself and let it fully heal before you go back to full work.

Do some gentle back stretches throughout the day, use Ice when you can, and drink lots and lots and lots of water. The pain from pulled muscles comes from a build up of lactic acid in the muscles, you have to flush that out.

Good Luck, and be kind to yourself.

I didn't know the drink lots of water thing. Thanks.

Just to say I'm feeling a lot better today. I don't have a full day of work until Wednesday and even then I have people working for me so I can do the easy jobs for once.
