So, I have a friend who lives her life through Facebook. She has a biz zillion friends. Her husband is sickly and I was wondering if there might be some "too close" friendships on Facebook. A couple days ago her daughter says her family needs prayers but she can't say why. I go to my friends FB and it's gone. When I click on her user name it says content gone. When I look at old messages it says FB user instead of her name.
I know I am jaded but I can't help feeling something happened on FB.

Probably so hopefully she closed it down before she stepped over the line. Maybe she's afraid a bs is looking for her.
Been with him over half my life

Wow; with a sickly husband, that would not be the first conclusion that I would jump to. Why not just silently offer up a prayer for her situation, whatever it is.
My DIL has several hundred friends, and she deactivated her profile because she spends way too much time on FB and now with the baby and a new job, she just can't do it anymore.
I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.

I agree with Sad in AZ. Hopefully nothing happened to her hubby. But I understand how you could be jaded, too!
I did a lot of facebooking at one time. Had a lot of "friends" and kept up on it regularly. Then, one day out of the blue, I just had enough and shut it down. I was forgetting about my real life friends and needed to get back to the real world.
I hope everything is ok with your friend.

Is it possible that you were blocked? My friend's WW blocked me and all previous interactions with her now showed the blank picture and facebook user.

Marriages that start this way, stepping over the bodies of loved ones as the giddy couple walks down the aisle, are not likely to last.
