Very brave and thoughtful of you to do this. You might want to schedule a therapy session afterwards to recover or learn to not be so thoughtful.

No really, you will have a blast. Good luck!!

Well, my first thought was , 'Neat!'

Then I realized neatness in your home environment probably isn't a high priority for you.
So, my second thought is, 'Cool!'

I am wishing you the best.

Good grief!

I'd take them on a long hike around the neighborhood, and/or to the children's playground just before they go to bed. The little ones, anyway. On reflection, the older ones will probably behave beautifully at night as long as you stick a screen in front of them... Alas, I've forgotten how to tire out a baby.

It's a gift I'm giving to sis and BIL for their 20 anniversary.

Quite seriously, I think that this is probably the most wonderful anniversary gift that a sister could ever give to the parents of six children.

I take my hat off to you, Purplejacket!

My first response (and still the primary one) is

WHAT IN THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?

Of course, reading that it is a gift means that you are indeed an angel and perhaps the very best sibling ever. What a generous and perfectly wonderful thing for you to do.

Now, back to praying and drinking in your honor...

PJ you've got this!!!!

Don't forget to laugh.... It helps keep your sanity in check.

Don't worry about the mess- till the last couple of days. Build those memories with your nieces and nephews - and don't forget to have some fun too.

Can't wait to read about your adventurous week.

Sending strength and peace (maybe when you get them all to sleep). My 3 grandchildren, ages 12, 6, and 5, wear me out for just one overnight!

Please send us an update when your ordeal, I mean adventure, is over!

OH PJ have FUN!!!!!
The only thing better than your own kids, are your sisters. Trust me.

The older ones should be able to lend a hand to the younger ones. Make sure you have lots and lots of fun activities planned. Keep em busy. Lots easier to manage than bored kids. That's when they fight, bicker, and get into trouble.

I survived! And so did the kids!

The 14 year old nephew and 11 year old niece were studs!

No one starved and occasionally someone ate a carrot or snap pea.

My secret is take them all on a two hour afternoon hike everyday. It tires everyone out and all kids sans the bigs were out by 9:00!

Thanks you guys for your thoughts!

Congratulations!

I've always thought a sense of humor enhances creativity....

It sounds like you've set yourself up to be a great aunt, something every kid could use but few have.

I'm late to the party but Darlin...you dont need prayer, you need a crocodile wrangler, an exorcist, and a boatload of duct tape.

Congrats on surviving! You are indeed the cool aunt!!
