My DD came home from her gramma's today (WH's mom) and said, "I think Gramma is mad at us.". I asked who "us" is, and she said her and her siblings.

I'm so disappointed. I never thought mil would act that way with the kids, no matter how mad she is at me right now.

I did say to DD that perhaps she should ask gramma if she is mad, instead of assuming. She doesn't want to. She said gramma was short and snippy with her. That's really, really unlike my mil.

This whole things makes me so sad for the kids and makes me so furious with my WH that he couldn't keep his dick in his pants and is too immature to deal with his shit.

I hate hearing that kids feel the damage done by a selfish W.
I don't understand why your MIL would be mad at you right now?!
Can you ask her what is wrong and explain how the kids feel.

Maybe it is something that doesn't even involve you guys at all

Mil and I aren't really talking to each other. She was really short and snippy with ME the last time I called her and has been very short and mostly unresponsive via text.

We'll unless she can keep her ill feelings to herself and not take it out on the kids maybe she should not be allowed to have the kids over!
When the kids feel she is angry at them and don't know why it's time to inform her it has to stop!!! Now!!!
This is something that can be said in person.
