My brother recommended this author, but we don't always enjoy te same books so I was wondering if anyone here had read any of this author's books?

The life of every man is a diary in which he means to write one story, and writes another; and his humblest hour is when he compares the volume as it is with what he vowed to make it.

Yes, I really like his books. Not sure how many of them are translated to English, though. Did you read the Tattoo girl books and like them? If so, you'll like Nesbo. He is also similar to Henning Mankell, if you've read his books.

Yes, loved them until I got to his most recent (can't even remember the title), which I ditched early on as it was disturbingly violent and masogynist (as presaged but not realised in earlier books). Most others who've also read his books felt also disturbed by te recent book.

Maybe a long walk in the Hindu Kush would do it?
