I've posted before about my mother and her knee issue. She had an MRI and they said that she she has a pinched nerve. They made an appointment for her for back pain. She doesn't have back pain and she's thinking about cancelling that appoint.

I spoke with her this morning and she received a letter from her doctor's about low muscle enzymes and was recommended to stop taking her cholesterol meds because of this.

Which brings me to my questions.

Can muscle enzymes be replenished? If so, would this help her regain strength in her knees and legs? Is there something she can take to help replenish the enzymes.

Thank you for your time and advice!

You can have leg pain from an impinged nerve in the spinal column. It is unusual though to have no back pain as usually a disc has to be screwed up to lead to the impingement.

We stop cholesterol meds due to HIGH muscle enzymes not low.

She complained about the nerve in her leg, sciatic? But she doesn't feel any pain. But her left knee is week and has given out several times and she has fallen.

That's strange, she was told low enzymes. I think her cholesterol med is Lipetor (sp?)
