Ex-shat comes to pick up Teslet. He usually gets him from school so I don't have to see the fucker. But-no school today. Anyway, as ex-shat is coming up from the drive, I let Teslet out the front door. Ex-shat makes a big show of stooping down and smothering the kid in a hug. While he's down there, he looks up and just stares at me like he wants to say something. What, I don't know because I shut the door. He used to give me that look when he was reaching out for reassurance.
It was weird...because it was a familiar look but I don't care about it anymore. I felt nothing.

And now I'm waiting for the movie to start!! Holy crap, going to the movies is fucking expensive!!! But I'm actually really excited. Before I always went to what ex-shat wanted to see. Always sat where he wanted to sit. It's so neat to choose what I want to see and sit in front
Woo-hoo for me!!

Have fun! I hope your XH enjoyed watching the door close on his pathetic face. Aw, poor baby. Go talk to your stripper whore about your problems. What a dope.

I've stopped making eye contact with the sad clown. On DD5s first day of school I couldn't avoid it and I know EXACTLY what you're saying about the weird but familiar look.

He commented on my hair, my sunglasses and got monosyllabic answers. It was weird because I recognised the look and understood its meaning too - I felt nothing but revulsion. It literally made my skin crawl.

I may have reached a point where I'd piss on him if he was on fire.... eventually!!

Went to see Star Trek. Loved it. I've been working my way through the original series on weekends I haven't had Teslet.
Jeez, why did it take me so long to go to a movie by myself? I really enjoyed it. What was I scared of? Another thing conquered I guess.

Good for you! I like going to the movies alone too, although I don't mind with friends. Next try dinner out alone - I always take a book.

Wasn't Star Trek great? It ties into a couple of the older movies too, not just the tv show.

I went to see that movie by myself, too. Only I like to sit in the back.

This is me, too. I love going to the movies alone! I sit where I want and go to what I want to see. There were times he told me to choose somewhere to sit, and after I did, he would sit somewhere else! He didn't like where I chose.

He would do that at diners and restaurants where you could seat yourself too. Got to the point I just told him to choose. He just had to control everything while letting me think I could choose for once.

Hooray for single movie goers! For me, it was one of those things we did as a couple...just because he got stupid and left didn't change the fact that I like going to the movies. It was weird at first, but now, I'm a regular! Ticket for one, please!

Did this today. Took DGS and DGD with me. MUCH more fun than going with xpos! Now I can really enjoy it.

No rush-rush, did a little shopping after, then went for an early dinner and some ice cream. Very nice afternoon. As a bonus, DS and DDIL enjoyed some time to themselves too
