Tomorrow marks 1 year since the first time my WW slept with the OM. I had a few mind movies today. I have a good day planned with the family tomorrow. I just hope my mind doesn't get the best of me. I really want a good day. I just hope my mind doesn't get the best of me.... Here's to being strong

I have learned to talk myself out of those mind movies. You simply and firmly tell yourself I will not think about this now. Say it over and over again until it is true.

Focus on the words it helps a little too. I hope you have a good day too.

Thanks over all my mental state has been really good. I think I will go into it that I am not going to let it take any more from me. Just hoping for a smooth fun day. I hadn't had mind movies for a while and a few triggers. But I think cause I have been working hard on me

I hope you have a great day tomorrow
If you have unwelcome thoughts you could always try visualizing a stop sign as been suggested on this site before. I've tried this a few times and it seems to work.
My IC also suggested that I picture a bus in my mind. When u have a thought, acknowledge it like you would a new passenger. She then says I should send that thought to the back of the bus if the time is inappropriate. She said that I can recall that thought, process it and then 'let it off the bus' when the time is right for me. Hope that makes sense and helps you get through tomorrow. Best wishes to you and your family for a fantastic day

Best wishes for tomorrow, IGIMA!

Can I also say congratulations for making it through a whole year, for working on you, and being in an overall good mental state!!

An SIer suggested imagining windshield wipers clearing away the unwanted thoughts that are ruining my view. It works for me. I have to turn them up to the fastest speed sometimes . . .
