X's mom confronted him and told him she and I have our own relationship and to leave her out of whatever he and Mrs. Robinson are saying (her text said for me to not call his family.)

He apparently had no idea Mrs. Robinson had sent me a text.

Good for your MIL!!! I hope she continues to have a relationship with you. I think it was one of the hardest parts of D from XWH#1. I lost almost all of his family (my family for 20+yrs)except his brother and SIL. Now X-MIL wants me to be friends with her again because they are estranged. No thanks. She even sent me a Mother's Day Card. I don't do two-faced people very well and she is no longer MY problem.

It is good to have inlaws like that. Just got off the phone with FIL who calls me regularly and has been giving me great advice.

Good for you your MIL is so wonderful.

Haha thanks! I agree, she is great. She's a very honest person and doesn't make excuses for her son (though she can't bring herself to kick him out)

DS and I just got home from visiting her and bringing her his two yr old portraits.

I love that it was his mom who outed the text. She sounds awesome.

I sure hope that X confronted Mrs. Robinson on that one.

I hate women who act like teenage girls.

That's awesome! I have a better realtionship with my MIL post-D than I did during the 14 years I was with her son. I tell her all the time that I'm glad I got her (and my BIL/SIL) in the divorce.
