because someone has to start it...

It's been a long (and productive) week at work, and pizza sounded good.

Beer thirty is relative I guess.

Um... WANT! Guess I know what's for dinner at Chez NIK tonight.

However, beer thirty is still 1.5 hours away. *sigh*

I have nine more minutes until I may leave for home.

NINE MINUTES.

Dinner tonight will be a lean cuisine lasagna and an oberon or two. I'd think about going out, but it's pouring rain and I just saw my credit card statement this morning.

I have to mow my lawn after work tonight before the next round of rain showers. After that a nice COLD beer would be good.

Damn... I just cracked a beer open, now I wish I had a pizza to go with it!

Good choice on the Ranger IPA, by the way.

I think I'm up for some heavy artillery to get past this week. I'll take something - ANYTHING with 151 in it.

I thought of you this week, Jrazz. I was at the liquor store and I spotted a 12oz aluminum CAN of scotch. Who the hell does that? It's scotch abuse!

The only reasonable explanation was that it was a conspiracy created by Jrazz to get me back for all of the boxed wine comments...

That's just phase 1. I've got a deal in the works with Dom Perignon as we speak... think Capri Sun pouches.

I don't have enough beer to last through the evening so have to ride down the hill. May as well pick up some groceries while I'm at it...

I'm craving a bacon and avocado sandwich.

And no I'm not pregnant... so I can haz beer.

I'm having a bourbon and coke. That's after taking mom to DR appt. Playing football with DS and his friend.

Pizza was yesterday. DS had 3 friends over, I took a 1/2 day off of work and bought Pizza Hut 55 yr. special. 3 large pizzas for a total of $18. They are happy.

Ok, off to the bar again.

Jrazz, might I reccomend a Harbor light. Equal parts 151 and Galliano served as a shot:

(You have to pur your own since I am planning on walking tonight.)
If mixed properly it should taste like hot air and, after two, you should be able to see the lights of the harbor from Kansas.

having a glass of Shiraz with my chicken Caesar salad. and yes, it has been one of the longest weeks at work, ever. I'll probably be having more than one glass of Shiraz. Just sayin'...

If I wasn't so lazy, I'd walk across the street for the ingredients:

Strawberry Jalapeno Margarita
1½ oz. Corzo Tequila Silver
1 oz. Cointreau
½ oz. agave nectar
¾ oz. lime juice
1 strawberry
½ tsp. jalapeño, diced

Muddle strawberry and jalapeño in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and remaining ingredients. Shake vigorously and strain into a glass filled with ice.

(so good, I posted it twice )

That strawberry jalapeno marg looks awesome!!!

I came home and cleaned for a while (yay!!) and now I am having a nice glass of pinot grigio before I head to bed. I feel accomplished and this is a great reward.

and click on the link for "let me make love to you" on the play list as outlined on the image below. It's an O'Jays song, but this guy does it justice and then some...
