I spoke to my mom and she is able to start physical therapy. Because she can't drive to a physical therapy place a home nurse will be coming to her place and medicare will cover it 100%. I'm so happy that she'll be able to get the help she needs. I already told to keep up with whatever exercises she's been told to do and she agreed.

There's still no update about the whole reverse mortgage thing. She said she'll talk to the person but she's not signing anything.

I still haven't talked to my sister since she caused that issue when I couldn't drop what I was doing to help out.

Awesome news!

Can you be with her when the mortgage guy talks to her? High pressure and your sister , could they be too much for your mom?

Karma, that's a good idea. I'll run it by mom tomorrow.

Thank you everyone. It is a relief.

It's great news about the therapy and I agree that someone (ie you if possible) should be with her when the reverse mortgage asshole talks to her. It sounds like she might have a hard time refusing, it would be good for someone to be there to help her to resist.

If not, can you teach her to say 'Please leave the documents, I need to have my lawyer go over them.' (They don't need to know that she doesn't have a lawyer.......)

I'm SO glad to hear that. You're doing a good job of supporting her, sd.

Good point, DMW. I'll let her know that when I talk to her tomorrow.

Thanks Jrazz
