What a whirlwind the last few weeks have been.

'Special friend' and I have progressed so far from initial dating and spending lots of time together and getting to know each other on a deeper level. We talked every day and saw each other if we could and even if it was just 5 minutes to say 'Hello' and acknowledge each other.

And then one day we spent 13 hours together, starting off with church, then heading to a flee market, cruising through the Santa Cruz mountains listening to music and chasing the sun, stopping for drinks and dinner and laying in the grass together just talking and sharing our life stories. It was so easy to share the good, the bad and the ugly and be totally open. And even after all those hours and stories, neither one of us wanted to go home.

And somehow we naturally progressed from that day to talking about being together and making plans for the weeks and months to come. When I get back from my trip to Europe and my kids are back with their father for several weeks, SO and I will head out on a roadtrip to Yosemite. I am really excited because just like me he likes exploring and just see where the road takes us.

And I do have to say, there are some serious perks to dating an older, more experienced man. And I am not talking about holding doors open for me and being a total gentlemen..
. Definitely off the bus and planning staying off for a while

Stronger08, I had no idea until now. Rather have quality than quantity

Heading out to Europe tomorrow for almost four weeks. I will certainly miss him but it will also be a good test to see how crazy we will be about each other when I get back. I have a feeling it will be even better...
