Exclaimation  Posted: 10:35 AM, June 15th (Saturday)

Today's the day.

My first antiversary at home because the last four I made a point of being as far away from here as possible.

Guess I've stopped running now.

Woke up after a trio of extremely bizarre dreams involving a hole in my bathroom floor, a crawling fish, swimming kittens, and a sweet sweet puppy that loved me up all over.

Just before waking I had the mother of all dreams, x was in my new place here making dinner in MY kitchen (the nerve!) and I was watching TV, some movie starring Sara Gilbert.

He came in, proudly announced that he had slept with her and two of her friends once and she was hot, and went back to cooking.

LOL.

I woke up just after slapping him *hard* on the face (something I have never done), spraying him with dish soap and yelling at him to get out of my house.

Iiiiinteresting.

Gorgeous sunny day here, going to go to the farmer's market and get fixings for a nice salad, then my toxic sister is coming over for tea. She's bringing me some stuff from my dad's second wife's files (both dead now), letters I wrote to him when I was in my teens/twenties, some memorabilia.

Should be interesting.

After that I'll probably go for a long ride and sit on the beach to admire the snow-capped mountains across the strait and count my blessings.

Yay me!

One of the biggest blessings is finding SI and all you terrific peeps. Could not have done it without you...

Wow. What a dream!

I find myself dreaming about X too. Odd dreams. Like me saying, well we really ought to break up. I think there's some level of healing or resolution that can only be worked out in our sleep.

Good for you for slapping him in your dreams. Perfect!

I didn't see you as running, more like healing.

I like your dream, btw. Well, at least the part where you yelled at your ex to get out. The Sara Gilbert part is a little odd to me. lol

You've done a great job rebuilding your life, and while I'm sorry you had to find yourself here at SI, I'm really glad you've been here. Hard to believe it's been 5 years already, but I'll be hitting that antiversary in September, too.

Good grief, what a dream! (Did you get him in the eye with the dish soap? )

You've always been one of my heros, FF. It's good to see you in a good place.

Have no idea why the dish soap made an appearance. I guess it's a metaphor for cleansing?

Who knows...

The kittens/puppies intrigue me also. The puppy was actually originally a swimming kitten who morphed into a puppy when he came out of the water.

After a good snuggle I put him back in the water and he turned into a baby otter, swam back to the mother cat who was happily lying on the sandy bottom, somehow breathing, dunno.

Maybe I'm getting a puppy for Year 5?

If anyone else was writing of their "odd" dream, I would worry. But you FF have some interesting dreams.

Enjoy your day and rereading the old stuff should be an eye opener.
Big Hugs and you're doing OK.

Thanks y'all. I feel so dang happy today -- it's sunny and breezy and everything a June day should be.

I went and did errands and rode by the old condo building, the scene of DDay, and felt not even a twinge.

Life right now is grand.

I think this calls for an adult beverage. It's 5 o'clock somewhere innit?

Happy 5th FF!

I've always admired the spirit you've had through out this crap. You seem to have an underlying sense of adventure that has carried you through.

Enjoy the snow caps! And a tasty beverage too.

I love this post. Especially the part where you slap him hard and tell him to get out of your house.

Oh and the later post involving the adult beverage. Toasting to you tonight, FF!

Thanks everyone, love you guys, we're all in this together.

Well I did quite enough riding this morning, so I'm curling up on the couch with a good book and a cold one.

Or three.

Actually got some laundry done today too.

So NB is going to get busier come September.

Decided to update my web design skills online from the tech school while continuing with my history courses. (I have an applied diploma but the skill set is about 12 years out of date, so this will be fun.)

FF will be history web nerd....

Yes!
Getting ready for BFF visit (she is coming from Qatar via Alberta) next weekend, planning all the good places we are going to wine and dine.

Nothing like KC Peaches or that tapas place in Dublin though. Divine!
