So- over at "the house" that STBX still occupies but is up for sale, mixing and lugging cement to make post caps for the still-unfinished fence. (why? Because HE will never ever do it- another story)
I'm trying to explain to him that I need him to buy one more bag of cement - I can't lift them- and I don realize he's picked up his phone until he says "just a moment Love....." and turns to ask me to repeat myself.

Be a damned shame if some of that cee-ment ended up in his gas tank .....

Imagine a ship trying to set sail while towing an anchor. Cutting free is not a gift to the anchor. You must release that burden, not because the anchor is worthy, but because the ship is.

Oh believe me Skan and Peridot, I have been tempted. But - in 44 years Ive never "got back" at him so I'll probably not start now. The best scenario for me would be for the house to sell, the divorce to come through and me to never have to speak to him again, which is why i'm fixing up "his"fence to start with.
I designed the fence, I helped build the fence, I made the rocks for the fence, I put the rocks on the fence, and now Ive made 20 large cement caps for the fence. He was supposed to do the mortaring last fall. Now in mediation he agreed to have it done by June 30th - aint gonna happen, so I'll probably end up doing that too.
Oh, I forgot - He DOES bring me iced tea while I work. ( Which i pour in the flower bed)
Oh - AND - I didnt do the stuccoing - OW1 helped with that - that was how they met
