Hypothetical situation:
1. You are at work on the Friday following a holiday.
2. You are kicking ass and taking names because the office is practically empty. Productivity is your middle name.
3. The only other person at work is your boss' boss.
4. Boss' boss leaves after lunch.

Your productive side says, "I should stay at my desk and get those reports done ahead of time for next week."

Your procrastinating side says, "Screw that! It's gorgeous outside, it's practically the weekend and NO ONE WILL KNOW if I play hooky!

So, which side do you listen to? Ruling please?

PS: No one should have to work the friday after a holiday... that's just wrong.

I'm about to leave for the day, so I think you know which way I'm leaning on this one

Let's just say that NOBODY on their deathbed ever says "I wish I had spent more time at work."

By the way, your procrastinating side has an 'edge' to her. Very appealing

Late to party, but hooky here too.

I had ONE phone call today...it was from the girl who sits behind me to say, "I wanted you to have at least ONE call today".

LOL...I see a lot of us were in the same boat today. I too was totally bored and everyone left at 3pm. I could have easily left at that time, but since I was out all week, I figured it was my duty to stay. So, I compromised and left at 4:45pm.

My philosophy prof gave me a general principle on this sort of question. Here it is:

On the first nice Spring day in 1964, he started class off with,

'...Will the stars stop in their tracks if we stop and enjoy the wonderful day? ... No. ... Class dismissed.'
