I had been talking about it for months and months and finally did it today. I only have my ears pierced (13 years old when that was done) but don't wear earrings because one ear always hurts. My sister told me it's a piece of cake...she has a dermal in her chest, eyebrow, tongue, eyebrow, nose, and nipples pierced.

I was nervous, but the lady who does the piercings was great and put me at ease. She said it feels like plucking your eyebrows. It really did and made my eye water a little. I told her it was my mid life crisis. I turn 40 in less than 2 weeks.

I'm getting a small tattoo with my 2 sisters as well. We're all getting the same...a heart with the infinity sign and the word sisters in it on our ankle.

Congrats on your new piercing... did they recommend how to keep it clean?

I had a stud put in my nose in 2007 and I love it... now I wear studs during work and rings on the weekend.

I also have my tongue, septum, industrial (bar across the top of the ear) and three holes in each lobe.

Tomorrow I'm supposed to get my next one... a hoop in the top of my other ear.

Enjoy your new look... you're gonna love it.

Yes. She showed me how to clean it and told me to come back when I'm ready for more.

I'm good.

I told my daughters and sent them a picture. My 16 year old asked why and said its weird. My 15 year old told me she wants one.

Mine was pierced but it closed up when I didn't wear a stud for a long time. I did it myself way back when I was a teen. I used a needle and ice lol! I've thought about getting it done again since where I work now we can have them.

Make sure you keep it clean and turn it.

Keep in mind some Employers do not allow their staff to wear these at work. Check before having it done.

I had to have 2 of my girls remove theirs when I managed the Dr office.

I think they can be attractive and cute, but don't think I would ever do it, I have allergies, and use my nose a lot, cant imagine dealing with that if you KWIM.

I have mine done, but given my career and possible job prospects, I am probably going to have to remove mine. I love it BC it is cute but money wins out

I'm good at my work. I'd say 1/4 of my coworkers have a nose ring and a few have "other" piercings. I work for a school district driving buses.

Gottagetthrough- go for it!

This is the reason why I never had it done. I've always liked the little studs, though. Those look pretty.

I do want to get my belly button pierced and a tattoo on my ankle.

I have seen the almost invisible studs... the ones that are small, silver and flat... do a lot employers object to those

I stay at home with the kids now, so my "employers" are all under 7

I have a stud. The lady told me I need to wait 6-8 weeks for it too heal before I want something different put in (a smaller stud or ring). She said that if I did before hand, it could just sink into my nose. She used a titanium 18 gauge stud.

I have an 18 gage stud that I wear to work... I'm a teacher, in a classroom full of pre-teens and teens.

All my other piercings are either invisible during the day ( put the septum up and don't stick my tongue out much) or my hair hides it... or my principal just doesn't care. She hired me with all of them in... so she knew what I had.

I guess piercings are gaining more acceptance.

I wear colored rings in my nose during school holidays... The one I have now is purple.

I'm glad you're happy with yours... I recommend waiting the full healing time before trying to change to a different stud or a ring.

Looks like he works in NY and has a 2 year wait list... enough time to get my nerve up LOL

Mine was pierced, but I guess it got caught in a blanket because it was out one morning a couple of weeks ago. By the time I noticed (like, three minutes after getting up), the hole was closed enough that I would have had to repierce it.

Having gone that route more than once, I decided to leave it out. (The good thing about nose piercings is that you really can't tell you've had one, the hole closes up so quickly and completely.)

I really liked wearing a tiny little stud. Just a little small and unexpected sparkle.

Neither of my kids (one, a boy, has an eyebrow and ears pierced and the other, a girl, has ears and nose) have noticed the absence of my nose stud. I keep waiting for them to say something, but realized they probably don't look at me all that much LOL

(Now I'm trying what to do for my next tattoo...)
