If you had cancer and were in the hospital, on a ventilator, on morphine, and a former employee (who also took you to the hospital, since no family was around, yet) snapped a pic of you and started sending it to your former bosses and employees???

I'm still stunned by this. I hope this post made sense.

ETA: I was under the impression she took him to the hospital, but he went in an ambulance. She went to the hospital and violated him like that. Am I wrong to be LIVID for him???

I don't really think this is 'it' for him. He has Hodgkins and has had a rough go with the treatments. He has fluid in his lungs and thoracic cavity and that's why the ventilator and morphine- they're draining litres of fluid out of him, then planning some radiation on a tumor behind his heart. So, I'm pretty sure he'll be awake in a couple of days. Then what?? He doesn't know she did this and is showing EVERYONE and telling them that he's a goner.

WHO DOES THAT??? I've been in rooms with people dying of cancer and no one was snapping pictures. It's actually a traumatic experience for those with hearts and souls.

Do you know her well enough to feel comfortable asking her to take the picture down? Yes, damage had been done, but maybe it can be mitigated.

I hope she's just a clueless twit and not malicious.

I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.

OMG....Personally, I would be emailing everyone concerning this that this picture was not taken with consent, that she is not a doctor or a nurse to validate the 'goner' aspect of the sitation, and that his privacy is what needs to be upheld, and a proper person will update in the future.

Where is this man's family?

I would try politely to tell the violator that this is inappropriate at best. If that didn't work... I would notify his family when they came to town or him when he woke up.

That is unbelievable.

I asked H how his company would handle a male employee taking pics of an unconscious female and showing them around... Of course, this is another one of those grey areas- he's her former boss (only because he's sick) and it took place outside of work.

As far as telling him- oh, hell yeah, he's going to know as soon as he regains consciousness!

His mom has been staying with him and may have been around, but she may have just stepped out of the room for a minute. His sister was on the way, but not in town, yet. I'm not sure that they know this happened.

Gah, I HOPE she didn't put it on a social network! She sent it to the District Manager and shoved in in my H's face at work and was showing to everyone else. She was told to stop by the DM, but the damage is done.

I don't get to know H's employees much. It just keeps things cleaner for him, so I don't know her and don't care to know her. She's a boundary bulldozer (obviously), so I set my boundary WAAAAAAAY out there and it is "You will not meet me and screw with my life, in any way." She keeps asking H when I'm coming in to 'hang out'. Not. Gonna. Happen.
