H and I were having a discussion about some financial plans, things I considered private. He decided we should contact his parents, and share their thoughts on these matters. I commented that I felt these were private matters, and I didnt care to discuss it with other people. H is 54 yrs old. His response was, They are family. I could never lie to my family .I want to share all my feelings and joy with my family. I could never ever be dishonest with them. I could never hide things from them. I dont like secrets. I want them to know everything about us. I love them..........Yep. It hit the fan. And it was loud. Pointed out every secret and lie he has told me. ANd added everything I had issues with. Every hurt. My opinions. I believe my head may have rotated. He was actually embarrassed when I finished. FOr having said something so stupid.

Good for you! Way to stand on your back feet and burst that self-righteous bubble!

Imagine a ship trying to set sail while towing an anchor. Cutting free is not a gift to the anchor. You must release that burden, not because the anchor is worthy, but because the ship is.

in R 4 years and it's working but he is putting 200% into it (as he should) to make it right again.

The truth hurts, but I have never seen it cause the pain that lies do.
