After 17 straight days of glorious sunshine, the clouds have rolled in and it's perfect because I'm actually kind of OD'd on sunbathing (!). I know, crazy right?

I made a point of getting to the beach for two hours a day, getting in at least two bike rides or at least a ride and a walk (three rides yesterday...) and lots of sitting just looking at gorgeous views and just.... being.

It's felt like a lot longer than a couple of weeks. I'm so thankful for this summer.

Now I'm catching up on the basket of bills from since before my move.

I've always been fairly anal about making a note of every penny I spend, but that all went out the window around the end of March. (Since then I've had the oral surgery, first move to the new apartment, staging/selling condo, closing, final move... it's been quite a flurry.)

So once I get my spreadsheet updated I'm going to add up the damage and see if I can give myself permission for appies and wine tonight to celebrate the end of a great vacation.

It was the best.

Finished crunching numbers so late that I just had a sandwich and went to bed.

I reckon I can afford my current situation for awhile by adjusting the budget lines for drinks and eating out (my two favourite vices...).

Since I love hanging out at my new place and don't go downtown much anymore, I'll just invite my peeps over for happy hours instead.
