I haven't received ANY mail in the past few days. This has never happened before. How can I check to see if stbx did an address change without my consent or knowledge? I checked the USPS website but can't find an answer to my question. Has this happened to anyone? Thank you!

Call the post office, or better yet go down there in person, and talk to the postmaster. My STBX has done this a couple times.

NG ... you are such a sweetie pie! I just read your post and having to deal with your stbx's lunacy and yet you still were so kind to give me advice. Thank you very much! I guess on Monday I will go down to the post office.

Did you stop getting mail and guessed that your stbx submitted a change of address? I truly truly hope that this is a fluke but my stbx has a track record of passive aggressive assholeness.

Yes, the mail stopped coming. BTW, the postmaster doesn't always say why the mail has stopped coming when I ask. They're cagey sometimes. But always after I call or go down there the mail resumes. I keep asking if I need to fill out a form to let them know who lives here but they say it's not necessary.

Mail can be held at post office without confirmation. Address changes always have the post office sending confirmation letter of the change. Just in case of identity theft.

@wontdefineme: confirmation to deter identity theft makes sense. I will look into mail being "held". Thank you!

Oh wow, I've never asked if the mail is being held. I must do that Monday.

Mail holds can actually be placed online. Without verification of who is placing them. My XH did this to me three times, and my post office wouldn't so much as apologize when I talked to them about it. I finally threatened him with court action for harassment and he stopped. (Empty threat, but he's too dumb to know that.)

My XWH#1 refused to put in a change of address and insisted I give him his mail. This was just another way he tried to control me and make me have contact with him. After a while I quit receiving anything of importance, but I still get junk mail (10yrs later). It pisses my WH#2 off but he knows I can't stop it from coming. I now just throw it in the trash but it's still irritating. I tried writing on it "no longer at this address" and I have spoken with the post office and they said until he put in a change of address there was nothing they can do. No wonder they are going out of business.
