My SIL was just diagnosed with breast cancer. Her surgery (lumpectomy) is scheduled for Thursday. She went to visit my niece last week (her daughter) and while on the plane felt a new lump at her collar bone. Needless to say she didn't enjoy her trip too much. She did call the surgeon and told him what she felt and she has an appointment with him tomorrow.

Please say a prayer that they don't delay the surgery because of this new finding.

She is in panic mode (and so am I, but I won't let her know that). She just wants to start this whole process (surgery, chemo, radiation) so she can move forward with her life.

Her kids (young adults) are a mess - they just lost their father last year to cancer (my brother).

Envisioning a healthy outcome for her.

BS, age 53, d-day 6-2-08, divorced after 17 years and 20 together. Now I am living alone in the beautiful rural property that was once the dream retreat with X. It's taking a long time to create new dreams but despite some struggles I am mostly happy.
