Has anyone been taught /trained/coached/is familiar with Alexander Technique? What has it done or not done for you? Does it holds its promises?

The sales pitch souds very appealing. I have chronic back problems, mostlty a mix of postural and emotional issues.

I had one session in college during a voice lesson (I'm a music teacher and my principal was voice). My voice teacher brought her in and she had me moving my body in different ways and laying on the floor to help my breathing, etc. The idea was that the voice and muscles used in singing can be effected by a muscle problem somewhere else in the body...that its just a chain reaction. I felt the difference and heard it in myself and all the other students in my studio when we got together later that day. I only had that one session and I liked it.
