DOH!  Posted: 3:59 PM, August 6th (Tuesday)

i opened a publishing company. i published my first author. things are coming up freakin' roses all over. the book is already for sale in The Beat Museum, Citylights Bookstore, and Books, Inc. in San Francisco. the author is based there though i've known him for years. these are halls of dreams for me, i never anticipated seeing my product on display in those hallowed halls. the owner of The Beat Museum LOVES the book. so do a lot of people. yay us!

i did it. i did something that was a dream i didn't know i had. i did something FT never could have handled or supported. i have an amazing H who is supporting me, sacrificing for me and cheering me on, just the way i did for FT all that time. it's so weird to receive it, i didn't even recognize what it was when it came. i kept thinking, "who could ever support a person so completely and be so consistently positive about every aspect of it?" i'm so grateful that i'm in awe, yet it seemed so easy for me to offer the same to FT. i don't remember FT expressing a lot of awe.

i'm having the time of my life, in a deep-down spiritual way. FT has shocked me with some new shenanigans, but they aren't really my problem. and i don't know why any of it would shock me. i'm tossing that new development in a D/S thread. mostly i don't think about that life much, my new beginnings take up too much of my brain space. as it should be, yay!

braggin'. that's me. i'm so fucking proud of myself.

Congratulations!! I'm so very happy for you

You should be very proud of yourself. Not a lot of people can do what you did but you did it. I can't imagine how over the moon you are at this moment. I'm also glad that you have a supportive H who stands there with you. It feels good, doesn't it?!?

Wishing you continued success with your publishing company!!!!!!!

This is such a great post! Thank you so much for sharing it.

I'm reminded so much of how much I've done since divorce that my ex would NEVER have supported. Yet I supported him, sacrificed for him, in so many ways. But like you said, I didn't get any awe. It was just "to be expected" from me. But he couldn't do the same for me at all.

Good for you for taking the leap, going where your heart and talents took you. So many don't do it because of the lack of support - or downright sabotage - of our SO/spouse.

Keep us updated on your success. It inspires us all.

Divorced - recovered and hoping to help.

What a awesome post. YEA for YOU Stretch! WOW indeed...I'm so very happy that you are getting support from your husband. And oh that part about having the time of your life in a "deep down spiritual way"--that part made my heart swell!

(and um, I've got a book idea too--sounds like there are several of us 'wanna be authors' on these pages...sub specialty for your publishing company perhaps!?!)
