It's back. Relentless. Tempting. It goes by slowly playing music to lure me in.

I. Must. Resist....

Oh darn icecream truck, pick on someone else...

When did they bring these back? Or well, back in my childhood days it was the DickyDee guy. A guy on a half bike half icecream freezer peddling around. I remember fondly running out with all the neighbourhood kids, change in hand ready to buy that rocket popcicle, red, white and blue, that always left my hands a sticky mess. Oh how my
Mother must have hated that guy

Now he's back driving a truck filled with so many yummies...

Thankfully my kids are in bed!!!!

*pouts and hangs head as I go get my carrot sticks...

Just tell yourself what I tell my son: "It's not an ice cream truck, it's a music truck!"

And no, he totally does not believe me.

Didn't you know? They play the music to let you know they've run out of ice cream.

Ama!'s right... they only play music when they've run out of ice cream.

I resist easily. I'm cheap and I just remind myself that I can buy an entire box of ice cream bars for what he charges for one. My 5 yr old daughter knows this also.

Makes me wonder of dd heard it too. She asked me earlier "mommy can we make ice cream together?"

We share the same driveway as the auction barn. It can get packed web there's an auction so we were given pylons to put out in front of our house. The first time I put them out a gentleman came to my door with a big box of icecream bars. He said it was for allowing him to park up by the shed. Totally took me off guard and was so sweet. I just wanted one spot for our truck and the Neighbours car. He was fine where he was!!!

Anyways, I was cleaning out my freezer this morning and found the box.

Again...I must resist

The ice cream trucks around here are so vile. They are junky white vans that look like child molester mobiles. If I had kids I wouldn't let them near one.

My SO also has an ice cream truck horror story. He was working outside with the Guard one day when one broke down nearby. They couldn't turn the music off and it just kept going for hours.

I would have bought an ice cream sandwich by now - the big ones, not the dopey little cafeteria ones either

I hate them. Really, really hate them.

I hate them because they come down the same street 5 times a day.

I hate them because at 8:30 at night I can't dare have the window open in OCTOBER because that mfer is driving his horror movie music mobile down the street and that tune can yank any child out of anything they are doing from sleep, to eating ice cream they have in front of them.

I hate the truck because it sells ice cream sammiches for almost as much as the box of 16 costs at Shop Rite.

I don't remember who threatened the truck driver with an ass whooping if he drove that truck down our street ONE MORE FUCKING TIME TODAY. It was not me, I am fairly sure of that. For awhile there was no ice cream truck. The world slowly returned to normal. The trees, their leaves returned. There was a greenery in the world again. Birdsong filled those trees. The fucking bugs came back too, unfortunately. Life returned to normal. We all forgot about that fucking ice cream truck.

Now there is a giant red truck that has a REALLY FUCKING LOUD SPEAKER ON IT. You can hear it over in Philly. At one point Mayor Nutter (That was him, right?) was heard to say "I am gonna bomb NJ if they don't get rid of that fucking Ice Cream Truck." It looks like a re-purposed delivery truck, the kind that mobsters used in the 40's to transport tommyguns but I think they stole it from the military base nearby, painted it red and mounted the PA system from hell on top of the fucking thing. It is the ice cream truck that Orks would drive. ISCREAM TRUKK.

It cannot be stopped. It does not come around as often as the banished truck of old, but when it does, at first you mistake it for the base firing off ordnance. Then there's the hellish music skirling across the neighborhood, waking woodland spirits of old to rise and haunt bowers long since tamed by mankind.

I really, REALLY FUCKING HATE that ice cream truck.

Ya, I'd say you hate those trucks.

I heard it earlier but it got drowned out by the sound of sirens...perhaps someone got mad at the truck

I don't like the music that's played. Reminds me of scary clowns. Not that clowns bother me really but it's like something you'd hear on a horror movie just before some clown shows up with an axe...

For myself the sound of the door alarm at the gas station Drives. Me. Crazy... I couldnt work anywhere there was that annoying damn alarm buzzing away as long as the door is open. People hold the door open and it buzzes non stop. I'd end up getting fired for yelling at them to close the damn door!!!

I really must refrain from ice cream. And any other junk food. I was losing about 4lbs a week but I think I have actually gained in the last week. Not so much from junk but eating later at night. Or "snacking"...

If I drink one beer too many anymore and everyone goes to bed before I do, then I eat whatever ice cream is left in the freezer. I don't know what the fuck my issue is. Apparently chips ahoy aren't safe either. The kids were horrified one saturday to discover all the cookies 'n cream was gone. ALL OF IT.

This is my shame.

Hmmmmm. Maybe it's the beer. Yes I have had a few lately. I used to drink Way To Much so I don't drink often but on a hot day, working outside I like a nice cold beer.

What I need to do is get exersizing.

I will say that now that I have control of the food we are all eating better. Tons of veggies and salads. No more pizza every damn night

When wh grandmother came to visit the dinner I prepared was huge. Three different vegetables plus a salad and BBQ steak. It was awesome!

Wh is bad for sneaking stuff into the house. Junk good crazy dude I swear. Chips, cakes, candy, icecream, chocolate bars. He also buys olives, pickles, canned veggies and the like that magically appear in the cupboard...

Oh man... I kid you not, an ice cream truck just drove by our house 30 seconds ago playing "Jingle Bells".

WTF? Am I wrong or is it still August? Like, early August, to boot!

Wait. A. Minute....its playing Christmas music???

Ok wrong on so many levels!

First, yes it is August!!!

Second...ice cream and Christmas music...not a good combination in my book. Hot Chocolate, hot Apple cider. That's Christmas. Not a fudgcicle hahaha

I am dating to take the kids outside to watch the farmer bale the hay. Please let the ice cream truck NOT drive by lol

I am totally with you on ice cream and Christmas not being a match up that makes any kind of sense at all.

What's funny is it did about 30mph past our house. They must know to not even try here!

If it were a "beer truck" on the other hand. Hmmm...

There's not many houses on the road by us. We are just out of town BUT the ice cream truck drives nice and slow by us. Must be all the kids toys outside giving us away

My kids don't eat icecream. Dd asked for an icecream "cone". Apparently jut the cone. I got out some icecream and made her one. She licked it for about a minute then asked me to finish the ice cream part so she could eat the cone. DS on the other hand ate ALL the ice cream and handed me the cone.

Beer truck!!! Yes!!!
