I came across this and thought it was appropriate for all us spider haters...

My only question...why my shower? Can't it go to the neighbors!?!?

I swear this is the imaginary convo I have with spiders every day.

You do know that the spider/shower ratio doesn't favor the showers? Poor little guy has to go somewhere.

Yeah I know. QS and I went camping last summer and he sneaked me into the men's bathhouse so I could shower safely while he killed spiders. He's such a hero. I swear there were at least 10 daddy long legs in there.

I keep my bathroom bug bombed so the chances of spiders in our personal shower are diminished.

I like spiders unless:
1) they are poisonous (brown recluse and black widows here)
2) they are huge
3) they are anywhere near me

With spiders, the word huge is relative. Like, if I can SEE it, it is pretty dang huge. Those tiny imaginary sized spiders don't really count.

I'm absolutely sure that spiders are simply....misunderstood and really just want to connect with the human species and build warm loving interpersonal relationships.

.............

.......are you kidding me?! They are out to annialiate us!!

Cute scaredy cat!

Aubrie - I can totally tolerate daddy long legs, but can't hold myself together around spiders. Whole 'nother thing.

I think they would say "Welcome to my web. Let's talk about dinner." Not a conversation I want to have.

Is it weird that I talk to the little spider residing in our downstairs bathroom?

When I was doing a quick paint job in there I actually asked him to move for me so I could paint he did.

I guess it goes well with me talking to my wild hummingbird pets. I talk when they are at the feeder. I give them a scolding like a mom when they fight over the feeder and it's funny. Today four of them started and as I ducked I gave them a scolding. Two of them stopped and hovered above me like they were listening.

I honestly think my bathroom spider listens to me as well...

I totally talk to spiders too....

Coax them into cups for removal. Thank them for a job well done.

Complement them on how beautiful they are.

We have some REALLY cool spiders hanging out around our house this year.

You can have your own show on Animal Planet: The Spider Whisperer. Now if they start talking back by writing things in the web... PLEASE don't tell me!
