The first couple of months were hell. Although H confessed the morning after and immediately went NC I truly feel he didn't get it until recently. Yesterday we were home alone for the first day since Dday (all kids in school and him off work for the day) and we had the most amazing day.

We talked all day about the A, about his FOO issues and everything else. We had MC and it was great. We connected so well. He is constantly apologizing, doing whatever I need and realizes this is a lifetime thing and we have a long way to go.

I think the key for me is that he knows and is seeing the pain he caused. He says he knows he can't change the past but will do whatever it takes to ensure this never happens again.

Awesome, yes I agree you (and a lot of us) have a long way to go, but it's great to hear you felt a "connection". Personally I think that's a big deal in itself.
You are both moving in the right direction, together!
Thanks for sharing.
