I am not going to post the pictures of the giant sized eight legged nightmare inducing creature that invaded my kitchen last night. I am far too afraid that the last bout of stories about creatures not to be named called forth some sort of epic outpouring.

I will say that the poster whose comment was to burn down my house has been much on my mind today. Burn down the house? yes, that does seem within proportion to horror we experienced last night.

Neither of my sons are bug squeamish. But DS12, began the voice changing adolescent thing. Alas his voice went up, not deeper.

DS9 just looked on stoically and shook his head with this comment, "Yep. Not sleeping tonight."

When the giant charged me, I did recall that one poster had explained this phenomenon was due to the monster's fear and him seeking my shadow to hide in. I can add two notes to this theory:

1. You cannot will yourself to cast no shadow.

2. In this case I believe the eight legged shadow was larger than mine. However I had no desire to seek refuge in his shadow.

Once the deed was done, I sprayed so much bug poison on all the windows and door sills that DS inquired, "Can't too much of that stuff kill US?" It was a risk I was willing to take.

Broevil - I beg you. Wh5 has this thing where he puts troublemakers on MY watchlist and I get punished if said members step out of line.

You are flagged as a "person of interest" for sassy spider shenanigans, and I can't take any more demerits.

Oh, and NIK was really hoping to babysit your spider farm sometime but is too shy to ask so I'm doing it for her.
