ack!

A relatively large spider (seemed large to me) just ran up my work wall and before I could get a cup (gasp) to get it, it ran back down behind my desk and I now cannot find it.

omg, I'm so freaked that its going to just pop up on my keyboard or my feet as I sit here.

1.5 hours to go at work people!!!

You know the drill. Lighter fluid, matches, run.

We all have jobs to do. That spider is eating all the little cockroaches that you never see crawling around in your desk.

I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.

We are being over run with the spiders. It is like a plague.

Did you sit there for 90 minutes? did you see it again? Are you still alive?

I really only want the answer to the last question.

I made it out alive.

Only minutes later did my co-worker told me he saw a mouse by his cubicle.

Thank goodness its the weekend.

Last week I came home to find a spider had built his web from one stair railing to the other outside my house, completely blocking my way inside. I spent 20 minutes trying to get the courage to go in. I even thought about climbing my deck, but my sliding door was locked. I finally took my snow scraper (thank goodness I never took it out of my car) and knocked it down. The spider took off. He lives in the tree next to my house (I don't kill outdoor spiders) and he rebuilds his web on the railing each night. He hasn't taken up the front area since, but that doesn't stop me from clearing the path every morning with my snow scraper. My neighbors would think I was crazy.

june - your neighbors won't think you're crazy because they would probably do the same thing! sounds like you have a freeloading guests habiting your stairs.

One morning, still not fully awake, I walked out on the front porch for a smoke walking right into a giant web that appeared overnight. I looked down feeling the silk like tentacles on my arms. Usually I would do the OMG spider dance but I have come to terms with being crawled on

The only reasonable explanation for this is lack of coffee.
