My SIL helps organize a 5K for March of Dimes. She had 4 miscarriages before her 3 kids and she suggested I run it in honor of my angel baby. So since March I've been running. I have lost 46 pounds so far. And I still hate running...still don't get the rush. Since deciding to do this I've imagined what it would feel like crossing that finish line. One, knowing how hard I've worked and how far I've come. And two, knowing why I'm running the race in the first place. And knowing that I shouldn't be running. I should be home with a newborn. The race is only 4 days after the due date (though I know I would have given birth way before if my blessing wasn't taken away). So, I've been kind of avoiding actually signing up...the whole, "if I don't do it it won't be real," thing. But, I did it. Just signed up. I would rather be rubbing a giant pregnant belly right now than thinking about how I can improve my time before the day gets here.

I sure as hell don't feel awesome. I wish the weight loss was because of a better reason. Thank you though.

Sometimes doing something for the greater good can help the tragedies in our life easier to handle. I've not been in your place TCD but I admire what you've accomplished and can see how this might be very positive for you. ((Hugs))

You might not feel awesome, but you are. To do what you are doing after such a huge loss is incredible.
