August 13th DH told me he didn't want to be married anymore. August 17th, I came home from work at 11:30 pm to DH pacing, telling me to sit down. He sat down and told me he was having an EA/PA and had for the last few months. This date is burned into my mind and to this day I get anxiety when I walk in from work at night and he is still up.

And I have to work tonight too. :(

I hope you can find a way to reclaim that trigger. That is, seeing your H up at night when you get home.

{{naiveone}} I hope this day passes calmly for you.

It's our D-Day tomorrow... I have been both longing for this day and dreading it. I will be VERY glad to see the back of this year!

(((hugs))) I hated that One Year Ago date too. May tomorrow come quickly, and may you, from this point on, be able to say, One Year Ago, we were committed to working on our marriage and to our healing.

Imagine a ship trying to set sail while towing an anchor. Cutting free is not a gift to the anchor. You must release that burden, not because the anchor is worthy, but because the ship is.

I cried and started shaking when I pulled in to the driveway last night. WS was waiting up, had a glass of wine in both hands, smiled, and asked me if I wanted to sit and talk. I sat. He just started talking about his night, the kids, a friend stopping over, etc...we small talked. When it was time to go to bed, he kissed me and said "that is what I intend for you to come home to every. single. night. for the rest of your life. No more surprises. I love you."

*sniff!*
