User Topic: WW convicted of lying, sentenced to 5 years

There is a lot more to this case than just what I wrote as the title, but when I read the most recent news story that is exactly what I thought.

A short history:
WW has A with M boss
Boss becomes obsessed with WW
Boss puts on a disguise and shots BH; He dies
WW may or may not have known that boss planned to shot BH
WW lies to police and mislead them
Police arrest boss
At boss's trial, WW gets on the stand and lies under oath
Boss sentenced to life in prison for murder
Prosecutors investigate WW for murder and conspiracy to commit murder
Boss refuses to testify against WW and prosecutors cannot prove murder, so they charge her with several counts of perjury and misleading police

Yesterday the jury found her guilty
Today at the sentencing hearing she cries that her kids need their mother and now they have no parents (and I am thinking, whose fault is that lady?)
Judge sentences her to 5 years

I have been watching this unfold since the beginning. I think 5 years is a light sentence for her.

He had actually tried to shoot the BH in his back yard a couple of weeks before he was actually killed. But did she say anything....nope.

Wow. So tragic.

And yet, a bit of justice.

No matter the circumstance or outcome I canít help but feel for the kids. I always do. Not sure what will happen to them or if it is better with out the Mom. Probably but who knows. Just so sad for them.

I did not mean to minimize the effect on these kids. Because of the poor boundaries of their mother, their father is dead and their mother is in jail. I believe they are 5 and 8 now, 2 and 5 when the murder occurred. Their entire childhood was shattered.

They do have 2 sets of loving grandparents and I do hope that the grandparents do not involve them in a custody battle. But I also know that their no one can shield them from the realities of this situation. The fact is that their mother had an A and her lover killed their father. Geez, how do you deal with that??

She is such a liar. It made me sick to see her testify against her AP (yes, I believe she WAS having an A with the boss). She was so arrogant, defiant, and less than truthful. I wish they had enough evidence to bring her to trial for her part in the murder.

I wonder if she gets to keep the 2 million life insurance she collected in Feb 2011 following her husband Rusty's murder.

The truth hurts, but I have never seen it cause the pain that lies do.

What bothers me is why kill another person over a piece of bootie? Why didnt she just leave her h. Yeah it would have been a struggle but it could have been done. I dont get taking a life. I dont get watching a man you live with be murdered.

People tell you exactly who they are...why expect them to be what they are not ....will be divorcing the selfish creep.

@ Sully

Because it is easier in fantasy land if the other parent is dead. They can live happily every after with new family and shiny new step father and no custody battles, they keep all the assets etc. They didn't plan on getting caught because in fantasy land nothing bad ever happens to the perpetrators.

With all the crap my exwh pulled continues to try and pull I am surprised I am still breathing.

This is terribly sad for the children involved and the family of the BH. So tragic and unnecessary.
