I'm day 4 into our separation and it wasn't a bad day. I was able to keep my feelings in check and actually nor obsess as much as I have been. I was able to focus at work for the first time.

There was one point during the day where I read an e-mail from my wife to my daughter's teachers which triggered some anger, but it went away fairly quickly. The trigger was about the sentence where she told the teachers that she and I were separated. So nothing inflammatory, but I guess seeing it solidified like that in the e-mail was the trigger.

But overall it was a good day. Of course that means tomorrow will probably suck, but I'll take what I can get right now.

That sounds like a decent day all right! The roller coaster has a different set of bumps and curves after S starts so give youself a little time to settle in and adjust to "you time"
