We're stationed in Germany...been here three months and have three years (maybe more) left here. So far we've been around Germany, but not anywhere else. We want to use our December vacation time to go somewhere warmer. Italy is high on our list, but there are so many places that we want to see, we don't know where to start. (Rome, Venice, Milan, Sicily, Venice, Florence, Naples, Verona, Pisa, etc.) We are also seriously considering the South of France and Spain, or maybe Greece. Do you have any suggestions? Advice? Tips? We're traveling with a six year old so it'll needs to be kid friendly. We don't know yet if we're going to fly or drive to our destination. It would depend on where we go and whether or not we will be in one place the entire time. We have, at most, two weeks depending on the cost. I don't mind going to more than one place, but I don't want to jump around so much that we don't see much in each locale.

That time of the year, I would go to Greece--maybe the Islands.
