In the movie, a friend is making sexual advancement towards the wife (played by Oprah Winfrey) and she replies "I cannot do that to Cecil (her husband)" and told him to get out of her house. The friend was persistent and she told him to get out, now.

Unfortunately, my stbxww did not have that same conviction and chose to betrrya me. The M in the movie was not perfect. They had issues as we did in ours. And there was attraction to the friend. But the wife understood the meaning of love.

It seems that 80+% of movies have some form of infidelity in them and I find that it tarnishes the enjoyment of the movie for me just as this minor scene which had no relevance to the story line did. I think I will stick with plays in the future.

Sorry that the movie got ruined for you or at least was made less enjoyable. I posted here awhile back about how everywhere you turn there is infidelity or at least inappropriate behaviors shown on TV and then there's music too. It's hard not to feel bombarded by it all.
I'm telling myself that I will get less sensitive to it as time goes on but who knows.

in the movie the characters were already screwing-and she was calling a halt to continuing

Your ex wanting to be friends is like asking a kidnapper to stay in touch when they let you go.

The type of fierce loyalty that I possess made me incapable of comprehending the level of disloyalty that he possessed
