TRUE LOVE = Taking the batteries out of your B.O.B. and putting them in your 13 month old daughter's battery-operated nightlight turtle when it dies before bedtime!

Just sayin!

Shelly you are a great mom. The sacrifices you make for Piper are amazing.

I didn't even hesitate either..... I heard her start fussing when I went to put her to bed and saw the turtle "flashing" which is what it does when the batteries are dying.....I ran to my battery drawer....NO AA batteries (although I had every other kind known to man!) and then ran to my room and deactivated my B.O.B....grabbed the turtle...performed battery surgery with my screwdriver and baby girl went right to sleep!

Sometimes you gotta throw yourself on a landmine for the greater good.... that's what being a good mom is all about!

What a great Mum you are!! Now don't forget to stop and buy batteries on your way home or you may be "fussing"....

I can imagine you sharing this particular sacrifice with her several decades from now.

Well, I have another TMI story that I "could" share with her but it would traumatize her if I did.....involving me using the B.O.B while I was pregnant with her and her moving from the bottom of my belly to the top of my belly real quick....probably due to the noise!!!
